The year is 2008, and the world has recovered from the shock of the man known as Lord Voldemort. England is a thriving community of witches and wizards working together to make certain that another Tom Riddle cannot come about. Hogwarts has programs in place with the simple course being to bring about House Unity, and it seems to be working quite well. But one look across the sea by the highly trained eye would show a darkness beginning to rise.

Griffin Academy of Magic, based in the Smokey Mountains in Virginia, has been the only wizarding school for the entirety of the United States of America since it inception shortly after the Revolutionary war. It is a vast estate sprawling over the Mountain tops where muggles do not roam, high within the clouds, and seemingly possessing a mind of its own as it grows constantly in order to house the growing numbers of young American witches and wizards attending.

Within Griffin Academy lay five different Houses of distinction, each named for a great Mythical Beast: Unicorn, Dragon, Crup, Mooncalf and Re’em. Each House possessing it’s own unique traits and dependant upon a questionnaire sent out to students upon their eleventh birthday, each questionnaire varies from the other so cheating is made exceedingly difficult. And unlike Hogwarts, whom is now a great advocate of House Unity, in Griffin House Rivalries are greater than ever.

And it is those Rivalries that could cause the downfall of not only Griffin Academy as a whole, but the entire Wizarding and magical culture in America. For Griffin has been given to the charge of a new Headmistress, and her intentions with the school are far from the best interests of the students. It is her wish to use the school as a breeding ground for witches and wizards that would join her cause upon completion of their schooling.

Both staff and students will be faced with a decision, join her or oppose her. In the years to come it will become next to impossible to turn your head and stay in a neutral position. A war is coming and the battle will take place in the one place the students should be safe. Will you choose to help create Utopia?
